Steve's Coast to Coast 2017

I'm running, cycling and kayaking a Scottish Coast to Coast in early September for the Dorking mental health charity DORKING MINDS.

The 105 mile 2 day event is a tough test over difficult terrain and I'm hoping for good weather, warm temperatures and a tailwind; all of which are not guaranteed. What is guaranteed is that I'm the wrong side of fifty to be doing this and undertrained! It's going to hurt and be difficult but not as difficult as living with mental illness. Please please please sponsor me, every penny raised is spent by Dorking Minds towards delivering services to the Dorking area that could change lives.

3 Peaks Challenge, September 2017

Jeff is participating in Mind's Three Peaks Challenge in September to raise money for Dorking Minds, which was set up to provide local people with Mental Health First Aid Training – an educational course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help a person who may be experiencing a mental health issue. In the same way as we learn physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health.

Jeff has already made a £300 donation to Mind to participate, plus the entry fee of £80. The idea is that any additional money will be raised here, and will go to Dorking Minds.

Jeff finished the event and raised £670 for Dorking Minds!
